The Manuel Felguérez Museum of Abstract Art is the creation of a visionary and generous man. Installed in the old Seminary of the Purísima Concepción (19th century) and which was later a prison during part of the 20th century, the Museum of Abstract Art has among its collections a wide anthological exhibition of Manuel Felguérez, as well as an important collective collection of artists abstract paintings that go from the Generation of La rupture (the fifties) to the present day, offering as a whole an important testimony of the development of this plastic current in Mexico. The museum offers 15 permanent rooms that exhibit paintings and sculptures by Mexican and foreign abstract artists, as well as temporary, individual and collective exhibitions by artists with an outstanding career.
